In the course of joint and coordinated river operations with the Military Forces on the Caquetá River, troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.33 seized more than 770 gallons of fuel.
The operation took place at the dock of the village of La Tagua, in the municipality of Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo, in which 669 gallons of gasoline and 110 gallons of DIESEL were found aboard a wooden rudimentary boat.
The boat have neither a name nor a patent number. It was manned by a 44-year-old Colombian man, who did not have the documents required to transport the fuel. The individual was captured by the National Police for the crime of trafficking substances for the production of narcotics. The material found was put into custody of the authorities.
