The Military Air Transport Command, CATAM, in coordination with the National Center for Personnel Recovery (CNRP) carried out a double aeromedical transfer of two adult men diagnosed with COVID from Putumayo and Amazonas, the two regions hardest hit by the health crisis.
In a Cassa C-295 aircraft of the Colombian Air Force, patients who required a higher level of hospital care were taken, in a timely manner, from two Colombian departments.
During the mission, the patients were monitored by military doctors, who assessed the state of the health of both, fully complying with the strict biosecurity protocols established for this type of missions, in order to protect life and prevent contagion.
