These results represent a loss of more than 12 million dollars in the finances of drug trafficking organizations.
In the course of coordinated operations conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Police, it was possible to find 375 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 4.7 kilograms of marijuana, which were transported in boats through Colombian Caribbean waters.
The first result took place 19 nautical miles northwest of Punta Arenas, Necoclí, Antioquia, when surface and Coast Guard units conducted a maritime interception of a go Fast boat that, noticing the work of the Naval institution, escaped leaving five bags at sea with about 96 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 4.7 kilograms of marijuana. The boat went into a hard-to-reach area.
In the second operation, units of to coast Guard Coveñas detected and intercepted a boat fishing 0.5 nautical miles southwest of Borqueles, Cordoba, manned by two people, who, noting the work of the authorities, took the boat to the beach and fled, abandoning the boat. Inside were found by troops 11 sacks with 279 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
These operations were carried out thanks to the coordinated work conducted by the units attached to the Caribbean Naval Force and SIU-DIJIN, managing to prevent more than 12 million dollars from entering the financial structures of drug trafficking organizations.
