The National Army, in compliance with the policies established by the Ministry of Defense, in coordination with the police in the Departments of Meta, Guaviare and Vaupés, attacks criminal structures that commit crimes in the region.
In the framework of the Bicentenary plan Heroes de la Libertad, the National Army's operation Agamenon, in coordination with the National Police, managed to arrest two individuals who allegedly committed crimes in the service of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
Thanks to intelligence information, Army troops and police officers arrived in an urban area of Villavicencio, Meta, where a search of a house resulted in the arrest of a woman known under the alias of Mister and a man known as El Zarco; narcotics were found.

In other cases, in the municipality of San Carlos de Guaroa, in El Meta, troops of the National Army and the police, thanks to previous denunciations by a citizen, carried out an operation that led to the arrest of two individuals in flagrante delicto, for the crime of extortion.
The individuals previously contacted the people, requesting their professional services, and pointed out remote places and without communication coverage as meeting points so as not to be detected by the authorities; later they prepared to collect money from extortion, reason why the individual was arrested for the crime of extortion. A hand-made firearm, a 38 mm cartridge and four cell phones were in the same way found. Personnel and material were put into custody of the specialized prosecutor's office 1 of Villavicencio, Meta.
