Due to the blockades on the roads of Magdalena Centro due to the national strike, and that have stopped the transit of trucks and vehicles responsible for the collection of milk, the productive groups of cattle ranchers with the support of the Air Combat Command No.1, has distributed more than 300 liters of milk in different neighborhoods of the municipalities of Puerto Salgar, Cundinamarca and La Dorada, Caldas.
This important product of the food basket, because of its high nutritional value, has not been transported on a daily basis and for marketing must comply with the requirements for human consumption, but due to the different blockages in the region and to prevent that this product is lost, the Groups of cattle Ranchers who belongs to the network of civic participation of the Colombian Air Force, decided to distribute this product to the most vulnerable families since the beginning of the pandemic have been hit.
With the support of the military personnel of the CACOM 1, producers have transported the milk from the farms to the neighborhood Primero de Mayo and Nariño in Puerto Salgar and the neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and Corea, La Dorada, among others, by distributing it block by block in coordination with the presidents of the Board of Community action, maintaining the established protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19, respecting the confinement.
