In order to prevent more tons of perishable food from being lost on the country's roads, Colombian Air Force aircraft carried out an airlift to transport more than 2.5 tons of food, thus supporting peasants in the national territory.
From the Air Combat Command No.5 in Rionegro, Antioquia, a UH - 60 Black Hawk helicopter took off to transport dairy products from Armenia to Cali and Medellín, which required immediate air transportation, since Land Transportation was not possible due to road blockades.
In the same way, overflights are carried out with the local authorities working for the restoration of the food supply chain on the main roads of the Departments of Quindío, Valle del Cauca and Antioquia.
