The operation was conducted in Baraya, in the municipality of Paloma, in El Tambo, where three alleged members of the residual Organized Armed Group were arrested.
In development of an action operation and by means of a search warrant, troops of the National Army, together with the Prosecutor's Office, arrested three men who would be part of a subgroup of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Carlos Patiño.
One of the detainees is alias Tatiana, who is accused of being the ringleader of the squadron and the one in charge of acquiring and storing military accessories material for this GAO-r.
Similarly, at the scene of the events it was possible to recover a minor, who was put into custody of the authorities for the reestablishment of his rights.
During the proceedings, a rifle, a pistol, a revolver, ammunition of different calibers, nine cylinders, material for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices, military accessories, five communications equipment and propaganda alluding to the gang were seized. All this was put into custody of the authorities.
This material would belong to alias Gerson, second ringleader of GAO-r Carlos Patiño, in charge of holding confrontations in the municipality of El Plateado, Argelia, Cauca, with the José María Becerra front of GAO ELN, for territorial criminal control of the Micay canyon.
In the area of the events, the National Army continues to carry out joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operations that make it possible to harm the various criminal structures, as well as to guarantee the security of citizens.
