The commitment of the National Army in support of the people of Santander has led to the involvement of more actors in initiatives that seek to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants.
In the Street of the Students of the Royal citadel of Minas in Bucaramanga, Santander, soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No.40 Coronel Luciano D'lhuyar of the Fifth Brigade, carried out the second Market with plantations of the Santander fields, which in this opportunity managed to link 45 families and more than 10 kinds of products.
About 48 hours of work, the labor of 15 soldiers and the availability of three Kodiak and NPR type vehicles, were required within the logistics work to be able to collect from different villages of the municipalities of San Vicente de Chucurí, Lebrija and Girón, the products that are marketed in the streets of the capital city of Santander.
The second Mercatón, counted on the distribution of new products such as cheese, chicken, fish, eggs, among others, which increases not only the range of beneficiary families that bring their products to the table of the Bumangueses, but hundreds of Santander inhabitants who came to buy without intermediaries and support the farm sector, in this reactivation of the department.
With operations like these, the National Army confirms its commitment to continue supporting the families of the region in operations focused on security and communities, understanding that a safe environment in the countryside and in the city is the fundamental factor to generate roads of progress and well-being in society.
