The two men were arrested after the pursuit of the patrols.
The operations to combat the crime of drug trafficking remain effective, confirming that the roads of Huila are being permanently guarded by soldiers of the Ninth Brigade of the National Army and the National Police, who found 35 kilos of marijuana and arrest two people.
The coordinated operation began with the installation of a checkpoint on the Candelaria-Laberinto road, in the municipality of Paicol, where the driver of a Chevrolet vehicle was called by authorities and he ignored the request, accelerating the vehicle to escape.
The motorized units of the Special Energy and Road Battalion No.12 and of the Huila Police, carried out the operations of pursuit and closure, which led the two occupants of the car to throw two bags with the illicit substance onto the road, planning to distract the members of the Military Forces.
The operation of pursuit continued until, in the sector known as Villa Chata of the municipality of Thessaly, the individuals stopped, achieving the arrest of Óscar Mauricio Zarate and Ernesto Javier Parra for the alleged crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics.
The arrested, the illicit substance valued at 35 million pesos and the vehicle, were put into custody of the authority.
Once again the work framed in the Plan Ipsilon: the union of forces for the department of Huila, manages to hit the illicit activities of organized Armed Groups and their alliances with criminal drug trafficking groups.
