In Bogotá, the first meeting of Chiefs of Staff conducted by the Ecuadorian Air Force and the Colombian Air Force was held last weekend in order to discuss issues of strategic interest and establish bilateral cooperation activities that led the strengthening of the operational Resources of both Air Forces.
Giving continuity to the Security and Defence Policy for the legality, entrepreneurship and equity 2018-2042, it was carried out this first bilateral meeting after the arrival in the country of a delegation led by brigadier general Gabriel García Urbina, Chief of the General staff of the Air Force of Ecuador, who met with the Second Commander and Chief of staff of the Colombian Air Force, major general Pablo Enrique García Valencia; in the framework of this activity, some Air Units were visited with the purpose of sharing experiences, doctrine and knowledge that strengthen the interoperability and success of combined operations.
The Ecuadorian Air Force officers in the same way visited the National Personnel Recovery Center, the Aerospace Medicine Center, the Helicopter School of the Military Forces in the Air Combat Command No. 4, the Air Combat Command No. 2, the Air Maintenance Command and the Colombian Aerospace Museum.
