The X version of the International Aeronautics Fair is preparing to start engines from November 2 to 5 of this year in the virtual platform specially designed to provide the best of the civil and defense aviation industry in a virtual space that promotes the reactivation of the air sector in the middle of the pandemic.
The launch of the F-AIR COLOMBIA CONNECTION 2021 counted on the presence of the minister of Transport Ángela María Orozco, the Defense minister Diego Molano, director of the Civil Aeronautics, Jair Orlando Fajardo Fajardo and the commander of the Colombian Air Force, General Ramses Rueda Rueda, to reaffirm the commitment of the sectors of transport and defense to give a decided impulsion to the revival and development of the aviation industry.
With total success the launch of the X version of the F-AIR COLOMBIA, the most important platform of the aviation industry in the country took place, which for this edition is transformed into F - AIR COLOMBIA CONNECTION 2021, an event organized by the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia and the Colombian Air Force, which will meet between the 2 and the 5 of November, the most representative companies of the civil and defense aviation industry.
During the event, the Minister of Transport, Ángela María Orozco, said that “the resilience of the sector leads us to see with optimism its recovery, therefore, environments as important as the International Aeronautics Fair, which traditionally has as an environment in Rionegro, this year has a fundamental objective, to constitute the fundamental environment to promote the reactivation of the industry and the promotion of air transport as an engine of economic recovery and air connectivity of Colombia with the world.”
For his part, the Minister of Defense, Diego Molano highlighted the importance of this virtual platform for the industry, and highlighted the introduction, in the framework of F - AIR CONNECTION 2021, of the Quimbaya aircraft, by the Colombian Aeronautical Industry Corporation, to the Colombian Air Force.
The director general of Civil Aviation, Jair Orlando Fajardo Fajardo, highlighted the importance of this event, which “seeks to promote the Colombian aviation industry as a major provider of parts, spare parts and aircraft components certified for the region, which becomes a focal point of production of light and unmanned aircraft, driving in turn services, maintenance and repair of aircraft. In addition, he said that it is essential to open spaces for exchange and meetings of international companies, which find in our country the possibility of expanding their markets.”
General Ramses Rueda Rueda, commander of the Colombian Air Force, says that “the F-AIR CONNECTION 2021 will show the inspiration with which we grow as Air Force and a new frontier, the stars, in the same way it takes the air sector to new heights, to innovations for the air, space and cyberspace, crucial environments for security and defense, that will lead us to share our developments in aerospace medicine, communications, remotely manned aircraft, satellite technology, multi-environments command and control, among other issues that determine the success of increasingly ambitious goals.”

By the Air Force we will have the Conference on Air and Space Power and in the framework of the Fair we will have the Second Meeting of Women of Aviation, organized by the Civil Aeronautics, among other interesting events that will be part of the meeting,” said Colonel Rolando Aros Riaño, director of the fair and deputy director general of Civil Aeronautics.
All the virtual spaces are designed to strengthen the reactivation of the industry and the air sector in the midst of the pandemic conditions faced by the world and will be available to attendees by November 2, 3, 4 and 5, 2021.
