In the frame of the Colombian Air Force's commitment to take care and preserve the environment, the Air Combat Command No.1, CACOM-1, participated in a cleaning and reforestation activity in the municipality of Puerto Salgar, Cundinamarca, planting 300 trees in the wetlands of La Esperanza Neighborhood.
A group of officers and non-commissioned officers of the Palanquero Air Base, were part of the planting activity, which will encourage the care of green areas and also to beautify this sector of the municipality.
The Sembratón (massive planting activity) in the same way counted on the participation of different institutions such as the municipal Mayor's Office, the Diogenes Troncoso Hospital and staff of the Government of Cundinamarca, which together with the members of CACOM 1 improve this space for the benefit of the environment.
Thus, the Institution shows its constant interest in the care and preservation of the environment and the conservation of natural resources, inviting the youngest inhabitants to join this type of environmental activities.
