This man would be responsible for the death of several former members of the former FARC and for the collection of extorted money from merchants in the department.
Troops of the Joint Task Force Omega, in a coordinated and inter-institutional work with the Police and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, arrest alias Geyler Mosquera, head of the finance group of the Miller Perdomo structure of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r.
The arrest took place in the municipality La Estrella, in Cartagena del Chairá, Caquetá, where a checkpoint required this person, who had with him a rifle, magazines and ammunition, as well as documents alluding to the Jorge Briceño Suárez structure and receipts of the money received as a result of extortion.
Alias Geyler Mosquera was wanted with arrest warrant by attorney’s office No.162, for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes and extortion, and another arrest warrant issued by the Prosecutor's Office 10, for his alleged participation in the murder of former combatants of the former Farc.
This individual is in the same way known under the aliases Mono 20 or Chichico, with a criminal experience of approximately 11 years in the structure; he would responsible for the murders of alias Wilfredo, alias Diomedez Hernández and alias Piquiña.
Because of his extensive knowledge of the terrains, he committed crimes in the Bolsa de Guayas sector, where he was allegedly involved in illicit financial activities through drug trafficking and extortion of merchants in the region. In the same way, he would be responsible for illegal recruitment for the structure, especially of minors.
He was in the same way responsible for the attack on river patrols of Navy Infantry Battalion No.31, last April 18, in the sector known as Caño Huitoto, of the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, where a Navy infantry man was killed.
The arrested individual and the material found were given to the authorities to continue with their prosecution process. Subsequently, the Municipal Criminal Court 01 of Florencia legalized arrest and established a measure of imprisonment against this individual.
