In two military operations supported by the Colombian Navy, through the Navy Infantry Brigade No.1, it was possible to find 38 tons of cement in La Gloria, in the department of Cesar.
The first operation was carried out thanks to the operation of the troops of the River Navy Battalion No.17, who find 34,000 kilograms of cement when it was transported in a cargo truck vehicle on the roads of La Gloria-Cesar.
Continuing with search and control operations in the area, it was possible to find the second 4,000 kilograms of cement, which were transported on board a truck-type vehicle in areas adjacent to the Magdalena River.
In both cases, the transporters did not have the documentation required for the loading and possession of this substance.
It is worth remembering that the cement is classified as a controlled substance in Colombia, which for transportation and trade needs the Certificate of Lack of Reports on the Trafficking of Drugs, a document which certifies the absence of searches of behaviors related to crimes of drug trafficking, front men, unlawful enrichment, and others of those who issued and authorized the purchase, consumption, distribution, production and storage.
During the findings no arrests were made, while the material found was given to the authorities.
