In order to strengthen ties and exchange knowledge of the Colombian Air Force and the South Carolina National Guard of the United States Army, a visit in the Air Combat Command No.4, CACOM4, in Melgar, Tolima, has been made with the purpose of knowing the distinctive Resources that this Air Military Unit has.
Upon arrival at CACOM4 the delegation was accompanied by the Head of the Aeronautical Education Headquarters of the Colombian Air Force, Brigadier General Édgar Mauricio Falla and the Director of the Helicopter School for the Military Forces, in the Air Combat Command No.4 and the personnel of the Unit. They made a tour by the most important areas of this Base, which is strategic because it is a pioneer in the training to pilot helicopters of the Military Forces in the country and Latin America.
In the same way, the United States delegation knew first-hand the training Resources of the EHFAA, evidenced in the flight simulators UH-1H, Huey II and Bell 212 which are important for the mission of flying, training and fighting to win.
With this type of strategic level visits, the Colombian Air Force strengthens ties of cooperation and strengthens relations with sister Air Forces that seek to strengthen Resources to fulfill the purposes of the State in the areas of security, defense and development of the country.
