With the purpose of strengthening bilateral relations, focused on academic training, which leads to empower human management, as well as, the preparation, training and instruction of the human resources of the Air Force, a delegation of the Inter - American Air Forces Academy-IAFAA based at the Lackland Joint Air Base in San Antonio Texas in the United States, visits our Colombian Air Force from February 28 to March 02, 2022.
The delegation consisted of Colonel José E. Jiménez, Director of IAAFA, Colonel George Wilson, Deputy Director of Instruction and International Education, Colonel Brian P. Afflerbaugh, Commander of the Training Squadron of Security Assistance and the Technical Head of Command Emilio Avila, Superintendent of the IAAFA held a meeting with the general Ramses Rueda Rueda, Commander of the Colombian Air Force and the Heads of the Command of Air Operations, leadership, Intelligence, Air, and the Head of Education on Aeronautics, in order to identify new opportunities for cooperation that leads to develop new skills, and implement guidelines to improve interoperability with the countries that designate students to this academy.
In this way, a mutual interest is promoted for the exchange of information leading to know the academic services of the different areas of aeronautics, which will contribute to the construction of knowledge and use of this in military power in different environments at the regional, hemispheric and global level.
