In order to support the social and economic development of the border areas and reduce the economic and social gap between these territories and the rest of the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Directorate for Border Development and Integration, in coordination with the Colombian Air Force, transported school furniture to the Rural School of Wacará in Vaupés.
Thus, in a Hercules C-130, 3.6 tons were transported consisting of university chairs, tables and chairs for primary and preschool, desks and chairs for teachers, libraries and boards, which will serve to improve and modernize the educational infrastructure benefiting the largest number of students of this village.
This was possible thanks to the conclusion of the agreement conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Postobón Foundation, carrying out the provision of school furniture in 4 Schools of the departments of Chocó, Vaupés and Vichada.
