With this result, terrorist projections and intentions against civilians and Military Forces in the department of Valle del Cauca will be neutralized.
In the framework of Operation Tormenta, troops of the National Army, in coordination with the National Police made the finding and subsequent destruction of two illegal places, which were within a guadual (a plantation of cane), on the banks of the river San Quinini, in the rural area of the village, Monte Hermoso, municipality of Naranjal, in Bolívar, Valle del Cauca department, apparently belonging to the Armed Group Organized residual, GAO-r, Adam Izquierdo.
At the time of the search of the place, troops found 21 cylindrical galvanized pipes, each with three kilos of explosives inside (63 kg), seven jars of gunpowder, 200 meters of cable two wire, which can be used as a line of electrical conduction, two improvised explosive devices composed of black powder and an electric detonator (each one of a kilo), 192 cartridges, caliber 5.56 mm, and three improvised explosive devices with a gas cylinder type release system, with a propellant charge of approximately one kilo of black powder with an electric detonator, composed of ammonium explosive, approximately 12 kilos of shrapnel. Such material was hidden in a 55 cm black plastic barrel-type structure, with a transparent plastic lid.
The material was destroyed in controlled conditions by members of Grupo de Explosivos y Demoliciones (EXDE) and complying with all environmental protection protocols.
This finding shows a clear demonstration that the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Adán Izquierdo permanently violates Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
