Our soldiers, in coordination with the Pia Autonoma Asilo Andresen foundation, carried out a community development work.
In Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, soldiers of the National Army gave to the children of the La Niña María Children's Charity Center, two classrooms, 60 desks, 120 school kits, two remodeled restrooms and more than 100 food baskets, thus improving the quality of life of more than 800 minors.
Men and women of the Force, arrived at the place to carry out recreational activities, distribute presents and a lot of fun to the children of the Foundation, who enjoyed these moments of leisure with joy.
This campaign is framed within the San José Comprehensive Plan, which works through five lines of strategic direction, where the institutions in Cúcuta are represented in favor of the people of the region.
With these works, the children of the La Niña María Children's Charity Center, of the Pia Asilo Andresen Autonomous Foundation, will have a better space to study, as well as improve their quality of life.
“With your help they have some rooms where they can participate in activities, where they can share time” Said the Director of the foundation, Mr. José Elver Rojas, after the presentation of the improvements.
In an event that counted on the presence of Brigadier General Fabio Leonardo Caro, Commander of the Specific Command of Norte de Santander, who leads these activities, the children thanked the dedication of the soldiers of the Comprehensive Action and Development Battalion No.2 and the Diocesan Food Bank.
In this way troops ratify the commitment to children, adolescents and people to contribute to the progress and development of the region.
