Soldiers of the explosives management group of the Fourth Division of the National Army, Marte, arrived at the most important drinking water source in the department of Meta, using technical procedures to fragment a rock that obstructed the supply of drinking water in the region.
The soldiers, trained in explosive devices reestablished the aqueduct service, at the Caño Grande drinking water treatment plant, one of the largest in the city of Villavicencio, Meta, a service which had been suspended due to a rock slide that occurred due to the rains that hit about 37,200 inhabitants.
Responding to the request of the municipal Mayor's Office to provide support in this emergency, explosives technicians of the Marte Group of the Fourth Division, in support of Civil Defense, the aqueduct service was restored by a blasting using an explosives technical procedure, fragmenting the rock that was obstructing the transit of water in this hydraulic structure.
This fundamental liquid in the homes and in the industry of the Llanera capital city, leads to both children and older adults to have this resource and maintain a dignified life.
The disaster response platoons are at the service of the llaneros, ready to serve Colombians, regardless of the risks they face, seeking to improve the conditions of each citizen in the face of the prevention of the effects of climate change.
