The Minister of Defense, Diego Molano, activated the Defense Sector Support Network that seeks to link all organizations, which in one way or another support soldiers, police officers and veterans of the Military Forces, throughout the country in different areas.
“We are doing this meeting because we are always thinking about the well-being of the more than 400,000 active men and women of the Military Forces and the National Police and the more than 250,000 veterans of the Military Forces who gave their lives for the safety of Colombians, that's why today we want to create the Defense Sector Support Network,” Molano said.
In his greeting to the 600 attendees from more than 30 organizations, minister Molano reported that this initiative has four main lines: training for organizations in different areas, information and ongoing communication with each one of them, exchange of experiences and support to the funding, with the purpose of strengthen it, and to improve the services to the members of the Military Forces, veterans, beneficiaries, and their families.
“There is a very important group of Colombians here that must be supported. And how do we want to do it? Today there are already organizations of volunteers, of the wives of officers, of retired people, business organizations that want to support soldiers and police officers, there are organizations of veterans of soldiers and policemen, we want to invite all these organizations to the network,” the Minister highlighted.
Finally, the head of the ministry of Defence, invited all organizations, throughout the national territory, to link and get in contact with the Office of well-being and Health of the Ministry of National Defense, so that everyone can make a large network of support to the members of the Military Forces who give their lives for the safety of every Colombian.
