In the terrorist attack, the men would have incinerated a teacher's car and several motorcycles in the village Morelia, in the municipality of Concordia, southwest of Antioquia.
Troops of the National Army, with the support of the National Police, arrested two alleged members of the GAO Clan del Golfo, who on May 6, allegedly broke into the village Morelia, in the municipality of Concordia, with shots in the air, generating panic among civilians, especially children who were taking classes at a school near the scene of the events.
In the midst of the terrorist actions, the men would also have incinerated a woman's car and three motorcycles. Acts that become a flagrant violation of the principles of International humanitarian law.
The men were arrested in the Yaruma village, in the municipality of Salgar, Department of Antioquia, where they were surprised with three rifles, a pistol, a shotgun, ammunition of different calibers, communication radios, a bulletproof vest, a doctrine book and military accessories material.
According to military intelligence information, these individuals, along with other members of the Southwest Antioquia substructure of the GAO Clan del Golfo, would be in charge of criminal operations, the collection of extorted money, homicides and forced displacements in the municipalities of Salgar, Concordia and Betulia.
The arrested and the material were put into custody of the authorities for their judicial process.
