The Colombian Navy, in a joint operation with National Army troops and coordinated with the National Police, dealt a severe blow to Organized Armed Groups by finding different elements used for the illicit exploitation of mining deposits on the Atrato River, in the municipality of Lloró, department of Chocó.
During the operation it was possible to find and destroy three excavators, four Cummins type engines, two engines for water extraction, four oxygen cylinders, eight illegal mining production units (UPM) and 250 gallons of DIESEL; in the same way, 23 hectares were recovered; they would be used for the illegal extraction of minerals.
With the destruction of this machinery that apparently belonged to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Manuel Hernández El Boche Front", valued at about 2,300 million pesos, this criminal organization was prevented from receiving monthly income of more than 175 million pesos, which damages the financial subsystem of this criminal organization.
