The retirement of the Institution of Major General Javier Alberto Ayala Amaya, who was serving as commander of the Joint Strategic Transition Command (CCOET), or the General Command of the Military Forces, took place in accordance with the article 103 of Decree Law 1790 of 2000, which regulates the career standards of the personnel of officers and non-commissioned officers of the Colombian Military Forces.
