The Caribbean Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), in coordination with the judicial component of the Police Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), arrested 11 members of the Organized Gang Los Costeños.
Intelligence coordinated work for more than a month showed that those arrested were carrying out criminal operations on the municipality of Sabanalarga, Atlántico, where they sought to increase their criminal activities to consolidate as a gang with a great impact.
With this operation of 12 raids it was possible the arrest of the ringleader of the criminal organization, who is alias Tajada. It should be noted that the arrested were wanted for the crimes of extortion, manufacture, transportation and drug trafficking.
Other operations to highlight is the one carried out by troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Antioquia that, in inter-agency working with the National Police, they carried out raids the Municipal Jail of Urrao, after having knowledge of intelligence information and technical research, about prisoners who would be carrying out extortion and threatening entrepreneurs and traders of the southern antioquia.
As a result of this raid, 22 cell phones of different brands were found by troops, five SIM cards, two expandable flash cards, a USB memory, 12 notebooks with databases of merchants and ranchers, whom they extorted, in addition to eight bladed weapons, 319,000 pesos in cash, 50 doses of marijuana and 16 doses of cocaine.
