In this first semester of 2022, the Air Combat Command No.1 of the Colombian Air Force, has worked incessantly to provide security to the Magdalena Centro, the Eje Cafetero and the departments of Santander and Norte de Santander, through the different military and social responsibility operations in the departments of Caldas, Cundinamarca, Norte de Santander, Quindío, Risaralda, Santander and Boyacá, thanks to the joint work with the Military Forces and coordinated with the National Police.
This year, we have flown more than 3,295 hours in the different aircraft that meet all kinds of missions, in addition, troops have carried out 80 military operations, 38 arrests, 20 neutralization of threats, 17 laboratories of cocaine hydrochloride have been found and destroyed, which has led to the weakening of Organized Armed Groups who commit crimes in this part of the country.
Achieving in this way losses by US$ 46,535,576, finding more than two tons of cocaine hydrochloride and 2.5 tons of coca paste base, results that provide the safety and tranquility of the inhabitants of the center of the country.
In addition, in the framework of the plan Artemisa, troops have done campaigns for the protection of the environment and various operations which have resulted in the finding of rudimentary structures; these structures have dealt serious impacts to the Environment, due to the indiscriminate use of chemicals that disrupt the balance and the sustainability of the ecosystem.
The social responsibility of the Colombian Air Force has benefited more than 4 thousand people in Development Support Activities and different other activities.
