After the monitoring of transnational organized crime in the Caribbean, it was possible to find a speedboat, which was illegally transporting narcotics.
Thanks to the control operations carried out by the Colombian Air Force and the Caribbean Naval Force of the Colombian Navy in the waters of the department of Atlántico, it was possible to identify a speedboat in the sector of Puerto Velero, from where transnational organized crime groups were preparing to send 442 kilos of narcotics, aboard this boat with possible destination to Central America, carrying out the interception and subsequent seizure of the cargo.
Four crew members were in the same way on a Go Fast, who were arrested and put into custody of the authorities. In the course of the operation they left the bags of narcotics at sea, which were later recovered by the authorities, later tested, giving positive result for cocaine hydrochloride with 386 kilos of net weight.
This operation weakens the financial illegal organizations of drug trafficking, through the confiscation of these substances which would have an approximate cost abroad of US$ 13 million, confirming the commitment of the Colombian Air Force in the fight against the trafficking of drugs through the surveillance of the Colombian air space who works for legality in the country.
