Colombian Navy troops in coordination with CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) units of the Prosecutor's Office, found 258 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride that were in an illegal hideout inside a house in the Villas de la Candelaria Neighborhood, in Cartagena, Bolívar.
This finding was made possible in compliance with a search warrant issued by the Attorney General's Office, in which a rigorous inspection of the house was carried out, where 259 rectangular packages hidden in cardboard boxes were found by troops, the Approved Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH was conducted, leaving positive result for 258 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The drug apparently belonged to a drug trafficking structure associated with the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo that commits crimes in the Colombian Caribbean, in urban areas of the departments of Bolívar and Atlántico.
This finding represents a loss to the finances of these illegal organizations by more than eight million dollars, in the same way troops prevented the sale of 645 thousand doses of cocaine on the international illegal market.
