As Custodians of the Environment, the Military Forces are constantly engaged in a constant development of efforts and sustainable practices for the defense of natural resources and their preservation.
Under this purpose, in the departments of Meta, Caquetá and Guaviare, environmental training spaces were built and implemented in an inter-institutional work with the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, National Natural Parks, the Corporation for Sustainable Development of the north and the Amazon East, among other environmental authorities.
In the four activities that have been carried out, 175 soldiers of land, sea and air have been trained strengthening their skills in prevention of environmental crimes, use of environmental control tools such as safe conduct of transportation of fauna and flora, and the finding of wood and threatened forest specimens.
The Military Forces continue to work in a coordinated manner to prevent the phenomena that hit natural resources, implementing operations that contribute to counteract the active deforestation that attack the biodiversity of our country.
