Inter-institutional work will seek to strengthen security both on road routes and in urban centers and rural areas.
With the launch of the campaign ¡Viaje Seguro, Su Ejército está en la Vía! (Travel Confident, Your Army is on the Road! vacations time begins in the departments of Cundinamarca, Tolima and Huila and in the Coffee growers region Axis.
In the center of the country, 35 checkpoints were planted and 12,000 soldiers, who will accompany travelers on the main highways; yesterday the launch was made of the Musical City of Colombia; where approximately 2,200 soldiers of the Sixth Brigade are led, in charge of providing security to tourists on access roads and passage through Tolima.
With this coordination carried out jointly and in coordination with all military and police authorities, it is estimated that 22,000 vehicles travel on Tolima roads, promoting the tourism sector, an important line for the region's economy.
