In order to quickly and safely provide the necessary care, the men and women of Air Combat Command N.6 (CACOM-6) of the Colombian Air Force led the aeromedical transfer of a young man in serious health condition.
Thanks to the support of the Personnel Rescue specialists, the patient was received on the banks of the Orteguaza River, which came by boat from the municipality of Solano, Caquetá; meanwhile, in a quick operation the crews of the HUEY II helicopter were in preparation while the military medical personnel received the 23-year-old, who urgently needed specialized medical assistance given the seriousness of his health.
In this way, the patient accompanied by his father was taken from the CACOM-6 to Florencia, Caquetá. During the flight the medical personnel designated for this mission ensured to keep the young man stable, monitoring the vital signs since his condition was delicate.
