With the dismantling of these illegal constructions, the drug trafficking organizations that commit crimes in the Amazon region stop receiving about 738 million dollars monthly.
In the operations, more than two tons of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops that would belong to the residual Organized Armed Group Structure 48.
In the departments of Caquetá, Guaviare, Meta and Putumayo, units of the National Army, the Colombian Navy, the Colombian Air Force and the Police found more than two tons of cocaine hydrochloride, in addition to finding and destroying in a controlled way 71 laboratories for the production of hallucinogens with the capacity to process up to 21,920 kilograms of narcotic substances monthly.
In this way, in the frame of the operation that took place in a rural area of the municipality of Puerto Asís - Putumayo, the Military Forces found a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory that contained 2,130 kilograms of this drug, 1,610 gallons of liquid supplies, one thousand kilograms of solid supplies, a shotgun-type firearm and two 16-millimeter caliber cartridges inside.
The substances found in this complex valued at more than 71 million dollars, apparently belonged to the residual Organized Armed Group E-48, who finance their criminal activity with the manufacture and trafficking of narcotics in this area of the country.
Within the 71 constructions, 2,410 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, more than 34 thousand gallons of liquid precursors, 48 tons of solid precursors, 27,677 kilograms of chopped coca leaf and 55 kilograms of agrochemicals were found by troops.
Laboratories, solid and liquid supplies were destroyed in a controlled conditions at the scene.
