The alleged aggressor was arrested and put into custody of the authorities.
Within the framework of the Perseo Plan, the Joint Stabilization and Consolidation Task Force Hercules carried out the air medical transfer of two minors and a woman, who suffered injuries as a result of shots fired, with a firearm, in a family quarrel, which put their lives at risk.
According to information from the people of the Viento Libre neighborhood, in the municipality of Santa Bárbara de Iscuande, Nariño, some screams were heard, which would show a situation of family abuse by an individual towards his wife. Right there the two minors and the woman would have thrown themselves on the alleged aggressor, in order to stop the incident. That's when this individual uses a shotgun causing them serious injuries. The individual escaped immediately.
The people of the sector transferred the wounded people to the medical center and reported the situation to the soldiers of the Pegaso Operational Command, who were carrying out operations and tactical tasks in that sector. Immediately, members of the Military Forces deployed over strategic points and in coordination with the police, arrested this individual, who was put into custody of the authorities.
According to a report of the Santa Bárbara de Iscuande health center, the wounded had to be transferred to a specialized center to urgently be provided with support for the case, as they required priority assistance, which they did not have in that place.
Thanks to the timely coordination and reaction of the soldiers who informed the commanders, an ambulance aircraft of the Colombian Air Force was available for the transfer of those hit by this situation, in record time.
During the flight, the minors and the injured were assisted and stabilized by a military doctor, who was in charge of constantly monitoring them, while they arrived in Tumaco, where a team of professionals of the Navy Infantry Brigade N° 4 was waiting for them to transfer them by ambulance to the San Andrés de Tumaco Hospital.
In this way, the Hercules Joint Consolidation and Stabilization Task Force will continue to support aeromedical evacuation missions along the Pacific coast of Nariño, in order to preserve the lives of the inhabitants of this important region of the country.
