-The Organized Armed Groups, GAO, such as GAO Clan del Golfo, Los Caparros, Los Costeños and also the common criminality, have been directly hit thanks to the uninterrupted work of the 32 Military Gaula units.
The Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Ariari Military group in coordination with Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Police in development of operation Neópolis arrested seven individuals, apparently members of common crime, who were wanted by the Colombian justice for the crime of extortion kidnapping, because they held the victims for a short time until asking their relatives for sums of money in exchange for not attacking their lives.
For its part, the Caribbean Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) in conjunction with Elite 2 and Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Police arrested, in two operations, seven members of the organized armed group Los 8.8 and one of the Costeños, who would be in the south west of the city of Barranquilla who had against them charges for the crimes of extortion, association to commit crimes and qualified theft.
In the same way, the Magdalena Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) in inter-institutional work with Gaula of the Police, within the framework of Operation Nemesis, in two operations, obtained the arrest of five members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO Clan del Golfo, who had arrest warrants for the crimes of extortion and association to commit crimes.
Other units that left results during this period were Risaralda with six arrests (five members belonging to common crime); Meta (six of common crime); Tolima (five belonging to the organized crime group Los Incendiarios; Boyacá (four of common crime); Cundinamarca (three common crime); Oriente Antioqueño (two of common crime); bajo cauca (two of the organized armed group Los Caparros); Sucre, Cesar and Tumaco (one arrest each of members of common crime).
