On Friday night, Colombians joined in a symbolic act in memory of the soldiers killed in the department of Cauca.
In a single voice of rejection, entire families united in the parks and squares of the main cities of the country to turn on a candle, in order to carry a message of fraternity, solidarity and support to the members of the institution.
This velathon took place in Bogotá, Cali, Popayán, Ibagué, Villavicencio, Florencia, Valledupar, Medellín, Cúcuta, Yopal, Mocoa, Tunja and Sogamoso.
The National Army rejects the actions of these organized armed groups and reiterates its condolences to the families of the soldiers killed in the line of duty, who worked for the security and sovereignty of the nation until the last of their days.
