In compliance with the Ayacucho Plan, the National Army arrested this man, who, apparently, would be in charge of coordinating drug trafficking activities and carrying out criminal intelligence work to carry out criminal operations against civilians and the Military Forces.
In decisive operations to mitigate the factors of instability, in a military operation by the soldiers of the National Army and thanks to the coordinated work with the National Police, alias Cirugía was arrested accused of being the fifth group ringleader of the Residual Organized Armed Group, structure 48, self-named Commandos de Frontera.
Thanks to military and police intelligence work, troops of the Twenty-seventh Jungle Brigade and the criminal investigation section of the National Police make the arrest of this individual, who had current arrest warrants for the crimes of aggravated homicide, association to commit crimes, manufacturing, trafficking and carrying firearms. In addition, he was on board a vehicle traveling through the village of Santana, municipality of Puerto Asís Putumayo together with a woman who was in the same way arrested in flagrante delicto.
The individual known as Cirugía, according to the authorities, would have a criminal experience of more than 20 years in this terrorist group, he is in the same way accused of being in charge of the coordination and activities of drug trafficking, especially the marketing of coca paste and cocaine hydrochloride in the municipality of Puerto Asís, Putumayo, as well as coordinating terrorist operations against soldiers and civilians living in the territory.
During the operation it was possible to find three pistols, ammunition, magazines, cash and a vehicle in which they were traveling.
The material found and the individuals were put into custody of the authorities for their respective prosecution.
