Troops of the Fifth Brigade, of the Second Division, in a coordinated operation with the Santander Police and an inter-institutional work with the Attorney General's Office, obtained the arrest of 13 people, allegedly members of the common crime group known as Los de la 11, who would be responsible for crimes related to microtrafficking in San Gil, Santander.
The events were reported in several points of the urban area, after a coordinated and inter-institutional intelligence work that led the authorities to find nine men and four women, among them, would be alias Wendy, who according to the investigations would be the ringleader of this gang, and who would be using minors for the marketing of narcotics in the municipality.
More than 20 million pesos in cash, 33 mobile communications devices, a traumatic weapon with a magazine, 15 cartridges for it, three precision scales, 492 grams of hydrochloride and 109 grams of marijuana, cocaine and their derivatives are part of the confiscated material. In the same operation a motorcycle was immobilized.
These people and the material found were put into custody of the judicial authority.
In this way, the National Army continues to conduct military operations focused on the preservation of citizen security, the fight against drug trafficking and the stabilization of the territory in this important region of the country.
