With the finding and destruction of a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory, the financial capacity of organized armed groups that commit crimes in the southwest of the country was weakened, in a joint and interagency work of direct support conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the Attorney General's Office of the Nation.
Within the Zeus Rojo strategy, this operation was carried out in the Ballestas village of the municipality of Santacruz de Guachavés in the department of Nariño.
As a result of the intervention, 3.82 tons of cocaine hydrochloride, two motor pumps, an power generator, four compressors, 14 microwave ovens, 15 precision scales, two hydraulic presses, as well as 4,262 gallons of liquid supplies and 3,900 kilos of solid supplies were found by troops at the site.
