A 74-year-old elderly man, in delicate state of health due to two knife wounds, was taken by a UH-60 Angel helicopter of the Colombian Air Force from the municipality of Mandé to Medellín.
After a previous coordination conducted by the National Personnel Recovery Center -CENRP- and the Air Combat Command No.5, in Rionegro - Antioquia, a Blackhawk helicopter was sent, which took off for the rural area of the municipality of Urrao, in the southwest of Antioquia, to carry out the humanitarian mission.
During the flight to Medellín, military doctors and rescuers of the Air Institution's personnel monitored the vital signs of the man who had serious face and head injuries, working in optimal and stable conditions to the Pedro Justo Berrió Battalion, where an ambulance was waiting to transfer him to a higher-level medical center.
