In sustained operations, it was possible to find more than three tons of cocaine hydrochloride and destroy a cocaine production laboratory.
In the middle of an operation within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, carried out by the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats, CONAT, of the National Army, jointly with the Colombian Air Force and inter-institutional with the Technical Investigation Corps of the Attorney General's Office, a helicopter infiltration was carried out where the megalaboratory belonging to the Jaime Toño Obando Company, of the organized armed group ELN, was found.
The operation took place in the village of Picacho, municipality of Florida, department of Nariño. More than 3000 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops there, along with 1100 kilograms of solid precursors and 1400 gallons of liquid precursors, among other material such as presses, furnaces, extractors and equipment and elements that are used for the production of narcotics.
The operation carried out hit this gang by more than 15,000 million pesos, reaffirming the commitment of the institution against the illicit activities that profit from drug trafficking and have hit the country.
