The Colombian Navy carried out a Development Support Activity – JAD, in which 586 people of the municipality of Juanchaco, approximately one hour by boat of the port of Buenaventura – Valle del Cauca, benefited.
During the activity, the services of general medicine, nutrition, social work, distribution of medicines, school kits and humanitarian aid were provided. In addition, people participated in talks on environmental issues, recycling, and recreational play activities within the framework of Children's Day, where they wrote their anecdotes and dreams in notebooks.
For this activity, the Transforma Foundation participated, with the purpose of contributing to society through the transformation of lives, and promoting education with processes of humanitarian and spiritual accompaniment.
During the year, the Pacific Naval Force, through its units, has carried out six development support activities, in which more than 10 thousand people have benefited from activities aimed at contributing to and strengthening the social wellbeing of communities.
The Colombian Navy will continue to lead health and well-being activities that contribute to the improvement of the quality of life and the reconstruction of the social fabric of the communities of the Pacific region.
