A Bell-212 helicopter of the Colombian Air Force arrived at the village of Tucurinca in the municipality of Fundación, Magdalena, to carry out the aeromedical evacuation of a man belonging to the Arhuaca Serankwa indigenous people, who was in a delicate state of health due to cirrhosis.
In this mission, we had the support of the troops of the First Division of the National Army, in the city of Santa Marta, where the aircraft arrived and gave the patient to an ambulance, which took him to the medical center.
The Air Combat Command No. 3 Aircrews carried out this mission in a professional manner, providing the necessary care to the elderly in flight and monitoring vital signs at all times.
The Colombian Air Force will continue working for indigenous communities, in accordance with the Ayacucho Plan, deploying its resources to the most remote places in the country to protect and preserve the culture of Colombians.
