The Military Transport Air Command- CATAM in a timely coordination with the National Center for Personnel Recovery of the Colombian Air Force, carried out without an aeromedical transfer mission of a minor under 8 years old who was in delicate health condition.
The aeromedical transfer was carried out in a King-350 type ambulance aircraft of the municipality of Apartadó, from Antioquia to Bogotá. During the flight, the military medical personnel monitored the patient's vital signs, working to improve her stability and well-being until landing in the Colombian capital. Upon arrival, in CATAM, an ambulance was on site to transfer her to a specialized medical center to receive medical assistance immediately.
The mother of the child thanked the institution for this agile air movement that led her daughter to have access to specialists as soon as possible.
This is how the Military Transport Air Command uses its air assets and crews in coordination with the CENRP, to safeguard the lives of Colombians throughout the national territory.
