In the framework of joint and coordinated operations conducted by the Colombian Navy, the National Army and the National Police, 50 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops on the Caribe Trunk in the municipality of Arjona - Bolivar.
This finding was possible through road control searches carried out by the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Bolívar near the village of Sincerin - Bolívar, where a van-type vehicle was visually inspected and later an anti-narcotics trained dog alerted the troops about some kind of hallucinogenic substance inside it.
Given this situation, a more detailed inspection was carried out finding a double bottom on the side chairs of the vehicle, finding inside 50 rectangular packages that would have as destination the city of Cartagena. Subsequently, the packages were put under analysis by the Approved Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH, leaving positive result for cocaine hydrochloride with a net weight of 50 kilograms.
The individual, who was driving the vehicle, apparently a member of the Military Forces, was put into custody of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office 55 of the Special Directorate Against Drug Trafficking of Santa Marta.
