This military operation led to the neutralization of the menace of seven alleged members of this structure, who, apparently, would be part of the so called school and explosives factory of this organized armed group. The authorities seized a war arsenal, military accessories, communications and transport of these individuals.
As a result of the ongoing operation within the framework of territorial control operations carried out by the Military Forces in the department of Arauca, and in response to the early warnings of the Ombudsman's Office, the threat of seven members of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure Tenth and Substructure 28, were neutralized combat.
The operation, which was carried out jointly, coordinated and inter-institutional by troops of the Quirón Task Force of the National Army, the Colombian Navy, the Colombian Air Force, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, resulted in the death within the framework of military operations of three individuals and the arrest of four other individuals in a rural area of the municipality of Puerto Rondón, Arauca.
Long-range weaponry was in the same way found at the scene, including rifles and shotguns, as well as ammunition of different calibers, magazines, fragmentation grenades, military accessory material, communications equipment, three pickup trucks, nine motorcycles and a dump truck, elements with which they intended to hit civilians and the Military Forces.
The urgent acts are conducted by the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office and the material found was put into custody of the authority to continue the judicial processes.
With this result it was possible to weaken the logistical and armed subsystem, as well as the command and control of this criminal organization under the command of the individual known as Pescado.
In the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, the National Army continues to damage the logistical and criminal networks of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure Tenth and Substructure 28, to counter criminal attacks that violate human rights and violate the provisions of International Humanitarian Law, thus reaffirming the commitment to security, well-being and protection of life in the department of Arauca.
