Under the premise that says serve the military service is worthwhile, a mega event was held as a sign of gratitude to those who served Colombia with honor and bravery.
During the third labor and academic fair Gratitude to Our Soldiers, 232 full and partial scholarships were granted to young people who serve their military service in the department of Casanare. They were part of the first contingent of regular soldiers of the year 2022.
This initiative was possible thanks to the coordinated work with public institutions, productive groups, schools and private companies, in order to provide men and women who finish their military service with academic and work opportunities, orienting their life project and generating support for their families.
“Thanks to my glorious National Army for giving us one more study and work opportunity, I have enrolled in the security academy with a 75% scholarship to be able to have more experience than I already have in the Institution and do my project in civilian life,” said the discharged soldier, Jean Carlos Figueredo.
Previously, during the month of January, the first edition of this event was held and it gave opportunities to the young participants, as Sergio Stiven Portillo Morales, a graduate soldier, who assured, “After finishing my military service I had planned to continue with my academic studies, but my economic situation did not helped it and it was thanks to the first labor and academic fair Gratitude to Our Soldiers, that I am currently on a scholarship studying the nursing assistant program and working as an administrative assistant for the IPS Atención Medica en Casa.”
In this way, the great family of the National Army will continue to pay tribute to its soldiers, providing them with opportunities to make their life project a reality, not only within the Institution, but in the same way opening doors in civilian life towards the future.
