After 19 days of work and thanks to the commitment of the Military Engineers, it was possible to re-establish mobility on this important road route.
Thanks to the coordinated work conducted by the National Army, the National Unit for Risk Management, the Ministry of Transport and the National Construction Agency, the two semi-permanent military bridges near the Naranjal toll are a fact.
With these structures, more than one million people from Bogotá, Cundinamarca and the plains will benefit, which will lead transit in both directions simultaneously and independently, decreasing the travel times of Colombians.
This work was made possible thanks to the 40 men of the Special Brigade of Engineers who worked tirelessly to install in record time these two ACROW semi-permanent modular metal bridges in Triple Double Reinforced Three configuration (TDR3); the first bridge is 54.86 meters, was put in service of the Colombians last July 30, and the second, 60.96 meters, both with a load capacity of 52 tons.
Our Military Engineers will always be where they are most needed, as they work for the country, they will continue to put their knowledge at the service of Colombians, and thus work to raise the well-being of its inhabitants.
