Thanks to the decisive operation of our soldiers, it was possible to arrest these criminals in charge of the multiple criminal events that were taking place on the Tumaco - Pasto road.
Within the framework of operations framed in the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan carried out by units of the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules, in operation after reported fighting in the rural area of the municipality of Tumaco (Nariño), it was possible to arrest four individuals and recover four minors, apparently members of the FARC dissidents Structure Urías Rondón.
After days of follow-up through military intelligence work, the troops arrived at kilometer 86 on the national highway that connects to the Pacific coast of Nariño, where members of the Urías Rondón structure were together with minors who had been illegally recruited, who were forced to carry out criminal activities such as checkpoints, kidnappings and extortion of money of travelers who move on this important road route.
It is important to highlight that these criminals would be responsible for the incineration of the intermunicipal transport bus and the blocking of the road on the last August 15 of this year on kilometer 92 sector Berlin - La Maria.
During the operation, it was in the same way possible to find abundant war materiel and military accessories, such as seven rifles, four pistols, two revolvers, magazines, ammunition of different calibers and cash.
The recovered minors were put into custody of the authority to restore their rights. This leads to show that these structures continue to violate Human rights by recruiting minors to join their ranks.
With this important result, the Urías Rondón criminal structure suffers an important structural loss that forces it to modify the terrorist plans within its armed component, since this operation blocks the criminal projection of territorial expansion that these organized armed groups intend to conduct in the midst of the struggle for the control of drug trafficking.
