The arrests were made by the Casanare Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) in Bogotá. The individuals were apparently in charge of supporting logistical activities, such as obtaining technological material and military accessories, which they sent to Casanare and Arauca for the criminal activities of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Substructure 28.
In the framework of military operations, thanks to military intelligence information and an exhaustive investigation work by the Attorney General's Office, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Casanare of Colombian National Army, in an inter-institutional manner with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), arrested three individuals in Bogotá who were apparently at the service of the GAO-r Substructure 28 residual structure.
The arrests are made by court order in response to a search warrant for two women and a man, who were accused of the crime of association to commit aggravated crimes, who, in the city of Bogotá, would be responsible for carrying out logistical coordination, such as the purchase of drones with a carrying capacity of up to 10 kilos, currency exchange that apparently alias Antonio Medina sent them for exchange, as well as the purchase and shipment of military accessories material for members of the GAO-r to carry out their criminal activities in the departments of Arauca and Casanare.
The individuals were put into custody of the authority to continue with their process of prosecution and legalization of the arrest, in which a prison sentence measure was issued for them.
With these arrests it was possible to destabilize the logistical and expansion capacity of the GAO-r in the departments of Arauca and Casanare, in addition, its criminal activity is weakened, since logistical coordination is weakened in the capital city of the country.
