In their possession troops found war materials, pamphlets and so called receipts that would be used for extortion purposes.
During the last eight days, two minors have been recovered and the four men, all members of this illegal armed structure, have been arrested.
In fulfillment of the constitutional mission, the Ninth Brigade through troops of the Pigoanza Battalion, neutralized criminal operations against civilians in the west of Huila. The stability and consolidation operation led to the arrest in flagrante delicto of four members of the Dagoberto Ramos mobile column, which in the Department calls itself the Ismael Ruiz Front.
Intelligence information and the support of the Citizen Participation Network, alerted of the existence of a group of men who, through the use of firearms and illegal expedition of so called laissez-passers, were carrying out extortion operations against productive groups in the villages of Santa Marta, San Mateo, El Rosario, San Vicente, San Miguel de La Plata, and rural areas of Argentina, Iquira, Thessaly, Oporapa and Nátaga.
The planning of the military operation, which is part of the commitments of last November 9 in the framework of a security council in La Plata, Huila, led to the arrest of the group of men who, apparently, obeying orders from alias El Paisa or Jair, were conducting the collection of money from extortions.
For the planning of their operations, the men hid in a house from where it is presumed, planned the collection of money under threats of forced displacement.
During the operation that was reported in the village of El Triunfo of the municipality of La Plata, two 9-millimeter caliber pistols were found by troops, with their respective magazines; ammunition and a motorcycle reported stolen were put into custody of the authority.
This group is allegedly responsible for numerous criminal acts against civilians, including illegal recruitment, the use of clothing for the exclusive use of the Military, extortion, theft, displacement, forced disappearance, homicide, illegal carrying of firearms and coercion.
